The Psalms have shaped the prayers and worship of God’s people for three thousand years. They were the prayers of Jesus and his disciples continue to use them to grow in the relationship with God. The Psalms help us find words for prayer and worship in both the heights and depths of human life. Through the Psalms we learn to bring our whole selves into God’s presence: not only to rejoice, but to pray our tears, fears, and anger.
